Bucatti

You almost had me fooled, again. Although it possibly looks better than the Galibier.

Maybe Ford was onto something...

It seems lately that Ford's Edsel is really making an impression in automotive design. Yeah - everyone is trying to make throwbacks to their heritage. But to me they all look like the Edsel.

LEW Design "Big Bang"

First and foremost, the LEW Design Big Bang has one of the lamest and ill-fitting names ever. So let just get that out of the way. Secondly, the idea behind this car confuses me. Why would you spend upwards of $200,000 on a luxury exotic car, to spend even more to make it look like a lame knock-off of ANOTHER exotic car? I suppose $200,000 is a drop in the bucket compared to the +$1,000,000 pricetag of a Bugatti Veyron and this model ups the performance ante.

Also not great is that the styling not only recalls the Veyron but the Audi Rosenmeyer concept. And some Ferrari Scaglietti out back, but that's not really ugly - just a rip-off.

Fugatti Vincero

Continuing my theme of "money can't buy good taste", I present the Bugatti Vincero, by Mansory (itself no stranger to fug excess). Another example of taking a stock car many consider fugly in it's own right and kicking it up a notch. The exterior is pretty tame, ignoring the extra LED lighting, polished carbon fibre and semi-chrome finish. Where it really shines (pun intended) is in the interior, which uses string lighting that wouldn't look out of place lining the patio of a seedy restaurant. And is that albino crocodile skin on the seats?
