Found via eBay, this beauty - believe it or not - is fitted with a custom body kit. Penned by the skilled hands of the world's foremost toddler car designer, it's vaguely reminiscent of a Ferrari Testarossa with the front end of a Cavalier. Randomly applied rectangular bump strips on the front and rear protect roughly 10% of the car from dings. The front end features a RAM Air hood and an innovative 4L gas tank sitting precariously in the grill. Crash test results pending.
The interior features trimless doors for weight savings, and a 6" slab of a leather sofa haphazardly glued to the dash for the occupants safety in the even of a crash.
A blog devoted to RANTS ON AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN, car reviews, and - above all - fugly autos. whether looking for vehicular plagiarism or rides of extreme tastelessness, you've come to the right place.

Ugly Mother-Tucker
The horrifying beast you see here is one man’s attempt at recreating a Tucker Torpedo from a boat-tail Riviera. It’s gained a bit of notoriety on the internet as the late owner’s nephew is trying to unload it on some poor sap via eBay. As of this writing, the listing is closed with the current bid being $16,350, which is probably about $16,000 to much.
Features include: front fenders that turn with the front wheels (a novel feature allowing you to drive in more than straight lines), three headlights, swiveling front seats for ease of exit, “vinyl leather” upholstery, and motorized roof panels that raise for ease of exit (in case you’re built like Robert Wadlow).

Damn You, Michael Bay 3: Revenge of the Fallen

Yeah, I realize that's the title of the second Transformers movie. But I couldn't find anything punny about "Dark of the Moon". I posted this before, but I'm posting it again because I've come to the horrifying realization that this is not a one off but a kit. Yes - there's more than one of these roaming the streets. One can only hope GM sees this and sues them to stop production for copyright infringement. However I suppose they could make a case against GM, in that this looks almost nothing like the concept car. Also - does anyone else find it ironic that the red car is parked in a handicapped spot?

Twisted Daze

Pretty much and modified 3rd and 4th generation Honda Civic can be considered fugly, but here's a fine example. Apparently modified by "Twisted Daze", this robin's egg blue 4 door Civic has the obligatory wide-mouthed body kit and gigantic spoiler, as well as frenched taillights. All of which can't hide the fact that this is a boxy 80's economy car. Other fugly details include painted window visors (I'm guessing the poor man's attempt at a chop-top look), an astonishing 16 Honda logos on the exterior (yet strangely no mention of VTEC, VTECH, or Type R), and an interior seemly lined in industrial Berber carpeting and completely lacking instrumentation (in that I highly doubt the 4 remaining aftermarket gauges adequately relay all the information vital to driving).
Pontiac Slimebird

It's amazing to think that someone else thought this was a good look. Having a hard time deciding which car is worse, but I'll have to go with this Firebird for the lime green on teal paint alone. And for the fact that the flaming green bird motif (what is it - radioactive?) looks more like the car hit Slimer cruising on the highway. At least they only ruined a V6 Firebird and not a Trans-Am (although I suppose it could be an unfortunate Formula).

Great Flaming Corollas
The Toyota Corolla is not exactly an engaging vehicle. Seeing one does not cause pre-teen boys to take chase, so why it would form the basis of riceburner I’m not sure. Especially a fog-lights-lacking low end automatic. If there’s anything good to say, it’s that a better car was saved from being the canvas for these unfortunate modifications. This car is a bit of a cross genre piece. For the most part it’s a ricer with a carbon fibre spoiler, headlights and hideous projectile taillights, as well as some very “Hot Wheels” flames applied to it’s sides. A couple features set it apart though, including the “aluminum pie plate” dubs and a giant naked angel airbrushed on the hood. I think it’s an angel – could be a skank lying on top of a giant dove. Plus there’s bonus hidden fug, as lifting the hood reveals a menacing visage painted on the underside of the hood. I especially like how all three pieces of artwork – the flames, the airbrushing and the hidden face – all clash with each other and are seemingly unrelated.

Astroghini

I suppose they share sharply creased edges, but the Chevrolet Astro and Lamborghini Murceilago designs do not meld well. This vans all gutted out inside for drag racing, and actually has the internals to back it up. So luckily it won't be seen long enough to let it's looks sink in.
Over the next few days I hope to bombard you with the some fugly kit kar kreations. I stumbled upon a site which has them in spades - and also managed to clear up some questions pondered in past posts (with better pics to boot). Well - not so much cleared up questions, but at least we can now point fingers at those responsible.

Murceilago MR2

It's rare to see a kit car that bears such little resemblance to the car it's trying to mock. I'm guessing this might be Corvette based, due to what appears to be a front mounted engine. There's a surprising amount of MR2 based Lamborghini rip-offs out there now too, but this looks a little too long...

Gumpert Appalling

Given that the Gumpert Apollo is a butterface on a good day, you can be fairly certain that an MR2 based knockoff is not a looker. According to the eBay listing, it has such modern conveniences as an exhaust and suspension. No more carbon monoxide poisoning! What a time we live in…
Another gem from the listing: “Here is the chance to own a "One Off" drop dead exotic vehicle at a small fraction of any high performance vehicle.” I’m assuming he’s talking about it’s performance, not it’s cost…

A trip to the glue factory is in order...
The front end of this Mustang isn't too bad, I suppose. Well - if you ignore those fender extensions that just out to meet the side mirrors but don't actually meet anything.
But things get a little intense at the rear. Gigantic rear rims and swollen fenders culminate in what quite possibly the world's largest lip spoiler. And don't forget of course the "euro" tailights. Maybe he was got his inspiration from this guy.
