Pedoyota

I find this car kind of frightening. You know what they say about taking candy from strangers? They should also teach children to stay away from pink Toyota Soarers with scissor doors and pimpin' gold rims that have candy logos slathered over the sides (for those who don't know, Saftbaren is a Dutch candy maker).

Mercedes SL

Given the nature of the SL (more of a grand touring type of car) and the extra chrome slathered on the vents, I highly doubt giant spoiler and rear airfoil are all that fuctional. And what's with the Mugan/Lumma Design random body panel paint job?

Hamann Tycoon EVO M

Hanamm - thy name is overkill. The X6 is lame enough in it's own right - a "4 door coupe SUV". It existance is pointless and defies logic (coupes don't have four doors, and what's the point of an SUV that lacks utility?). When it comes to SUVs, BMW has gotten to be one of the industries worst offenders. They now offer two SUVs that are nearly identical to two other SUVs (X1/X3, X5/X6). But I digress...

If this SUV had any more scoops, spoilers or LEDs, it'd just be giant hunk of metal covered in scoops, spoilers and LEDs.

BM Double-Eww

Wow - I'm getting witty with my titles... So I don't really know what's going on here, other than atrocities against first generation 3 series. One can never have too many headlights or BMW badges. Or notches and scoops that look as if they would rip off at speeds over 60 km/h.

Mugan Civic Type RR

The car itself doesn't look that bad, but Mugan has started to get into this trend of leaving the modified pieces of it's cars unpainted. Which leaves them looking like the accident victims too poor to paint match the new pieces. I've noticed Brabus has started doing this too. It looks like crap people.

Mustanger

Sweet fancy molasses - pickup bastardization fever is spreading from GM products.

Attack of the Clones: Infiniti Camry?

Maybe it's just me, but I was behind a 2010 Infiniti M the other day and thought it was a 2010 Camry at first - I found the Camry's revised tails with the clear portion in the centre look a lot like those on the M, and the trunk lids both his a similar Bangle-butt thing going on....

Zagato Autech Stelvio

Zagato is at it again! Some of you may be wondering what the hell an Autech Stelvio is in the first place. I know I was... Apparently, Autech was a special tuning division of Nissan in the late 80's, and the Stelvio is basically a Leopard coupe rebodied by Zagato. The strangely bulging front fenders house rear view mirrors. But then again I suppose it was the 80's - pretty much everything was weird back then.

Honda Pilot needs directions

Save the mug, the Honda Pilot doesn't look that bad. But the huge headlights and massive plastic grille are a bit much. And they even had some bad feedback during the concept stage, yet did nothing.

Ferrari 330 GTC Zagato

Apparently it's "Rag on Ferrari Day". I suppose maybe this car was ahead of it's time being that it's from 1967 and it looks like bad kit car for a late 80's Renault Alpine. Still though - wouldn't you rather have an au-natural 330 GTC?

Ferrari FX - Fug Xtreme

The Ferrari FX was a one off made by Ferrari for the Sultan of Brunei. Well - seven were made in total. Let's just say I'm grateful there's only seven. Made from a late model Testarossa (well - a 512M) in 1995. Although by 1995 the Testarossa looked quite dated, it still looks a lot better than this.

Corvettamino

People seem to having this strange attraction to morphing GM products into a pickup...

Ferrari California

I might get lynched for this one, but let me explain myself... This car appears for the same reason as the Lexus IS-C - as an example of why a folding hardtop may not always be the best idea. Sure - they did a great job of packaging the roof in such a small area. But the resulting tall, bulbous rear end give the car a budonkadonk that isn't very sleek or svelte. Roof up it looks even more extreme.

Not a huge fan of the stacked tailpipes either. They make the tall rear end look even taller. But at least they're real (sorry again Lexus).

Sidenote: Ferrari - please bring back the quad tail lights.

Lexus IS-C

It seems every car maker out there who wants to introduce a convertible feels the urge to make it a folding hardtop. Which is all well and good, given that it acts like a coupe when you want it to. Unfortunately that's a lot more junk to stuff in the trunk, and sometimes that can result in peculiar proportions (like the Sebring convertible's acres of trunk) or the strange muffintop look the Lexus IS-C has when it's roof is up. The roof ends up looking to small, sitting atop the lumpy trunk.

The car featured here is a bit bittersweet to me - the IS-C F-Sport package. I find the black paint, charcoal rims and blue brake calipers absolutely beautiful, but roof treatment kills it for me. Sadly, this combo is only available on the IS-C. If it were available on the sedan, it'd get two thumbs up.

Geely Gleagle GS (and Emgrand GT)

Apart from having the worst name ever, the Geely Gleagle GS coupe concept (an evolution of the Emgrand GT concept from last year pictured below) has the on of the strangest grill treatments I've ever seen. Perforated clear plastic? At least it looks better than that on the Emgrand, which looks like some kind of futuristic breastplate.

Attack of the Clones: BYD FBR WTF

Another Chinese clone. I get cloning the Toyota Corolla up front, but what's with cloning the Daewoo Lacetti out back? Is Daewoo a high-water mark in terms of car design for the Chinese?
